John Boehner Supports Foreign Power While Dismissing Own Party

So John Boehner defied President Obama and brought Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in to speak to Congress and the world.

The same day this happened, John Boehner and a group of 75 Republicans joined with the all the Democrats to fund an unconstitutional action by President Obama.

“The House voted Tuesday to fund the Homeland Security Department through the end of the budget year, ending a protracted standoff that centered on objections to President Obama's controversial immigration actions.

“The House voted 257-167 for the legislation, which includes no immigration provisions, and was carried over the finish line with mostly Democratic votes. In a statement late Tuesday, President Obama said he would sign the legislation as soon as it reached his desk.”

I thought the Republicans were in the majority, but it seems that Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are still running Congress.

Boehner played tough guy when it came to defying Obama and many Democrats by having Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speak to Congress – a foreign ruler who seems to have more influence with Boehner than members of his own party – but ignored the will of Republican voters.

The 2014 election was a landslide conservative win for the Republicans, and Boehner and Co. hated every minute of it.

How was it possible that the Republicans could not stop the funding bill for an unconstitutional action by the President? The Republicans that voted with Boehner violated their oath of office to uphold the Constitution.

And Boehner’s response?

"‘I am as outraged and frustrated as you at the lawless and unconstitutional actions of this president,’ Boehner told his caucus on Tuesday morning, according to a source.

“But he said he believed the decision to vote on a ‘clean’ bill, ‘considering where we are -- is the right one for this team, and the right one for this country.’

“Boehner's move could lead to a backlash in the party, especially since House GOP leaders repeatedly denied claims that he struck a deal with Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi last week to hold such a vote.”

Sounds like Boehner was reliving a scene from the 1942 film Casablanca. Boehner is "outraged" like Captain Renault was "shocked" that gambling was taking place at Rick's establishment:

Rick: "How can you close me up? On what grounds?"

Captain Renault: "I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!," as a croupier hands Renault a handful of money.

Croupier: "Your winnings, sir."

Captain Renault: "Oh, thank you very much. . . . Everybody out at once."

You know Obama and the Democrats are laughing. This inaction by the Republicans has only emboldened the President and the Democrats to do more to establish their power.

Boehner is less than a paper tiger.

Boehner most likely caved because the money interests backing him told him to cave. These guys want amnesty. Boehner will get his winnings while we have to endure the tyranny from two political parties.

The only bright side is that 167 Republicans opposed Boehner.
